Heavy Metal has roots running deep in the rock and blues genres. Black Sabbath, regarded as the first heavy metal band, was originally a blues band. Heavy metal is known for being aggressive above all, but also for the technichal edge that is applied by bands like Machine Head and Arch Enemy.
