Nah, I used to go to catholic school from K - 8th... I'm in a public high school and I couldn't tell ya how happy I am to get out of all that. It's best to shop for things seperately... If you get the packages, you must remember they're starter kits... you can buy them anywhere and learn on a guitar you really want that will last you for life. |

My dad and my uncle got me my Les Paul and a Vox amp for Xmas. I'm saving up for another guitar that comes with a metal distortion petal. I just gotta buy school clothes... lol |

Starter pack? Nah. That was what my acoutic was for... a Yamaha my folks picked up at Costco. That was my starter pack. After I busted my fingers playing that ****ty thing for two years I got a Les Paul. It's a pretty serious guitar... Many artists use them... MANY. |

Don't give up. Try and do some research... Maybe even order online if you can. I've noticed you get better deals when you do that. You're most likely to find what you want. |

Don't get me wrong I've got nothing against them. Paul Stanley of KISS uses them. They're great guitars. |

It was when I first started in 9th grade really... and I talked it over w/ my uncle (guitarist as well) and he thought it would be a good idea to wait until I get better and see that whole world full of different guitars. So I took his advice and now I have my Gibson. I'm saving up for an AXL Fireax though. I'd like to jam with friends at their house and not worry about what will get messed up on my Gibson... too much money to take a chance. |

I've been saving for a good 6 - 8 months for it. The guitar itself was 2,300 but along with the amp I believe it came to a good 3 grand. Start savin up! lol |

I have my days... sometimes I feel like I'm on the right track and others I just think **** it... Gotta keep going though! You can only get better... I'm sure glad I did. I had an acoustic for 2 years before I got my Les Paul. |
